Quality laboratory

The Quality factor plays an increasingly important key role in today's market. A serious assessment of this parameter in all production activities has allowed S.P.L. Industries to stand out among the most prestigious leaders. Therefore, after revising the business procedures according to the new ISO 9001:2015 standard, pushed by our long-standing customers, we have set ourselves to achieve a wider and more specific certification, the IATF 16949, which is still work in progress.

The Quality unit is equipped with a DEA measuring machine with 2200x1200x1000 stroke and n° 2 Hexagon and Faro laser scanning arms, in addition to conventional measuring equipment.

The primary task of the Quality unit is to monitor the whole production process. For this reason, we structured special working procedures and systematic controls which are constantly integrated following process analysis.

The important work of Quality unit doesn't only regard systematic controls, but also includes the training of operators in line with our motto “quality must be created and not controlled". To this very purpose, the company created a weekly training "school" where all our operators are informed and/or updated and their level of learning is constantly assessed and monitored, in order to assign the tasks in a proper way.

Regulative knowledge, cutting edge technologies and state-of-the-art equipment allow to monitor

the whole production process quality, from the control of the incoming material up to metrology measurement of the finished product, in order to track promptly any fault and/or process drift and act on the cause root of the problem (problem solving); also this activity is supported by a computer system realized on the basis of our specifications, which interconnects the operators responsible of the various departments with each other and provides a one-way intervention guideline.
